Conference focuses on applying new technologies to handle ever-growing corporate digital assets in advertising, marcom and design
Henry Stewart DAM Symposium — New York, NY — June 4, 2007 — Radiance® Technologies, the leading provider of asset delivery systems (ADS), today announced that CEO Tom Engdahl will speak at the Henry Stewart DAM Symposium, being held June 5-7 in New York, the largest single gathering in the U.S. for the digital asset management (DAM) industry.
Engdahl will speak on the show's opening day, June 6 at 1:40 PM on the topic of "Optimizing Creative Workflows," and will detail the challenges and new solutions for creative teams who must collaborate over massive files, with other members of a global design supply chain.
"There are major challenges in moving these massive files over existing public and private networks, and in and out of enterprise DAM systems," said Radiance Technologies' CEO, Tom Engdahl. "Because of their size they can slow or crash networks, or the file transfer can fail before it's delivered. In today's competitive design, advertising, and marcom circles, such valuable assets must be sent in a reliable, secure manner, that allows them to be monitored and tracked as they travel. A software-based asset delivery system provides this heft. The next big enabler is linking asset delivery systems to popular software applications."
The arrival of high-definition TV (HDTV) and programming and advertising means even larger volumes of content will have to be produced, managed, and transferred between creative teams who are producing this programming. Radiance Technologies and other firms on the leading edge of global brand management will tackle this and related issues at the event.
Radiance's flagship product TrueDelivery™, an asset delivery system, features a desktop interface that allows users to transfer hundreds of files in a single drag- and-drop operation, with e-mail style addressing. Users can also prioritize delivery of files or groups of files, and allocate them differing amounts of bandwidth. The software includes advanced tracking and monitoring mechanisms capable of producing specific audit trails to meet corporate compliance or regulatory requirements.
Radiance Technologies has also offers OnRamps, a set of application level interfaces to link the TrueDelivery service plane with popular software applications used in the design and creative industries.
TrueDelivery 4.2 is available as licensed software or as a hosted or managed service. It is compatible with Mac OS X and Windows Vista, XP, 2003 and 2000.
Radiance Technologies will be offering attendees to the 'Optimizing Creative Workflows" session June 6 at 1:40 pm an opportunity to win one of two video iPods which will also be given away.
