Technology Sales Veteran Will Bolster Radiance Technologies’ Lead in Large-Content-Delivery Software and Drive Integration with Industry-Leading Business Applications
Los Altos, CA, October 31, 2006 – Radiance Technologies Inc., a leader in digital logistics management, today named Melinda Gross as vice president of sales. Gross brings with her a wealth of experience from sales leadership roles at leading technology firms such as Network Appliance, Silicon Graphics, and Digital Equipment, as well as a host of start-ups. Her charter is to guide the company’s sales strategies and help expand the reach into new markets for Radiance Technologies’ flagship large-file-delivery solution, TrueDelivery. Gross will also be tasked with helping integrate TrueDelivery’s capabilities with other industry-leading business software applications.
Gross most recently served as vice president of sales for outsourced human resources company Ceridian. Prior to Ceridian, she held senior sales positions at technology firms including eVault, a provider of online-backup services, and Scale8, a managed-storage services and software provider, as well as several of Silicon Valley’s largest and earliest innovators -- Network Appliance, Silicon Graphics and Digital Equipment Corporation, where she consistently delivered quarter-over-quarter growth and exceeded sales quotas.
Gross will help Radiance Technologies increase its already rapid sales growth for its multi-patented software, which offers Fortune 2000 companies, media production houses, entertainment providers, and engineering organizations an effective way to send large business-critical content and files securely over existing IP networks.
“Radiance Technologies has an astounding record of innovation that has led to adoption of its digital asset delivery solution by some of the world’s largest firms in product design and marketing and media production,” said Gross. “I’m looking forward to taking Radiance to the next level – where its technology becomes integrated with the applications and business software solutions that are used by CAD-CAM designers, marketing and advertising teams and digital-media production houses to enable content created on those applications to be sent and shared worldwide with dispersed teams, partners and suppliers.”
“Radiance Technologies has had solid success with customers in key industries, helping to reduce the burden of transferring gigabyte and terabyte files between locations that are often halfway around the globe from each other,” said Radiance CEO Tom Engdahl. “Melinda’s expertise in driving revenue growth and market share for firms in enterprise storage and digital media will be a strong asset to us, as we move to integrate the solution deeper into our targeted industries’ workflows.”
By using TrueDelivery’s patented system, existing IP networks can be optimized to allow large files – even terabytes of content – to be sent and received securely and with guaranteed delivery times, freeing workers from having to burn and ship CD-ROMS.
Radiance’s TrueDelivery software optimizes the delivery of large files using algorithms that enable utilization of up to 80% of the “pipe’s” bandwidth without adversely affecting other services running on the network. It also adds encryption to secure the contents and offers resource management to manage and track the digital content.
